Where are you located?

Our sales office is located in beautiful Toledo, Ohio, easily accessible to the 80/90 Turnpike and Interstate 75. Our principle suppliers have plants and facilities all over the United States. Because we have easy access to freight, rail, air and sea resources, we can easily transport goods to our customers all over the world.

What kind of volume can your suppliers handle?

We can handle just about any volume you can imagine-from, one piece to millions, depending on the product. We easily handle small and bigger jobs with the same friendly customer service.

What are the conditions of payment?

Since we deal with customers all over the world who are providing a variety of products and services, BTW is flexible when it comes to terms of payment. Most customers will be asked to pay the net due upon receipt while others may get 30, 45 or even 60 days to pay off their account. We deal with each customer on an individual basis. We will make sure we can both agree on terms of payment.

Who are some of your customers?

We are willing to work with customers in any industry. We specialize in servicing tier-one and tier-two automotive suppliers. We also work with companies in the food industry as well as commercial and retail organizations. BTW has worked to create products for the United States military as well.

Do your suppliers have their own trucks?

Some of our principal suppliers have their own trucks. We prefer to use a common carrier such as 48-50-foot semi or use the customer's trucks because the customer is required to pay their own freight to haul their product.

How long have you been in business?

BTW has a variety of principal suppliers and they vary in the length of time they have been in business-some are well-established and have been in business for more than 30 years while others are newer companies that have been doing business for a little more than eight years. Do you have experience with automotive, commercial and military requirements?

Yes, we have experience with all of their quality and technological requirements as well as their pricing methods. Paul Long, the owner of BTW, has more than 20 years experience as a quality assurance manager. Our principal suppliers have the experience to offer support and solve any issues that may arise.

Are your suppliers QS-9000/ISO-9001 registered or working toward TS-16949?

Most of our suppliers have attained their QS-9000 or ISO-9001 certifications. TS-16949 is a new automotive requirement that is accepted globally and our automotive suppliers are actively pursuing this new certification. Some of our principal suppliers don't have these certifications yet but they do have these systems in place. Certification verification is available upon request.

Can your suppliers provide engineering and technical support?

Our suppliers can supply engineering and/or technical support upon request. Those services are available for a nominal fee that is a competitive price which may be cheaper than doing the work in-house.

What are your production/processing lead times?

This number varies because we provide such a vast and unique array of products and services to our customers. Upon approval, we can sometimes produce a product in one week. However, please allow four to eight weeks for the delivery of your products because that time frame depends on a number of variables including complexity of the item, availability of the information, specifications, requirements and scheduling.

How do you price your products or services?

Based on global competition, we're very competitive. Based on international pressures and the price of raw materials, our goods and services are competitively priced.

How soon can you start the quote process and provide prototype samples?

Normally, the process starts as soon a customer requests a quote. We can start immediately, however, due to variable beyond our control, it can sometimes take longer. Generally, you can expect this information in about 48 hours.
